Project Overview

A confidential client, a growing company in the food and beverage sector, had recently acquired an existing facility and was looking to transform its office environment to better support its evolving organizational culture and workflow. The company’s newly acquired facility had a traditional layout with segmented, individual offices that limited collaboration and visibility. Our client sought to transition to a more open, team-oriented workspace that fostered communication, flexibility, and a modern work experience. The client’s initial challenges absence of documentation of the existing space, and uncertainty around their budget. They also needed clear vision and guidance on how to design within the constraints of their current facility.

Our team was engaged to provide comprehensive Advisory Services for this transformation. The process included:

  • Project Discovery: We began by conducting a comprehensive architectural survey of the existing conditions to capture the current layout and infrastructure of the space accurately. This digital baseline allowed us to proceed with informed planning and design. Thoroughly inspected the space and performed due diligence to understand existing systems and space constraints. We held a series of strategic meetings with our client’s leadership and key stakeholders to uncover their needs, preferences, and desired functionality for the new workspace.

  • Concept Feasibility: Next, we performed workflow studies and programming with our client’s leadership. We conducted infrastructure reviews, zoning, and code studies, and investigated constructibility options in relation to cost strategies.
  • Functional Space, Furniture and Equipment Planning: Leveraging the survey data and input gathered, we developed schematic test fits and collaborated with the client and our design partners on phasing, revised layouts, and resolved constraints. We developed conceptual renderings to visually demonstrate what the reimagined space could look like. These renderings helped align all stakeholders on a shared vision.
  • Establish Design Parameters and Budgeting:
After refining the design through cost analysis, we established architectural and engineering design parameters for the future space. We provided a budget aligned with the client’s needs, a vetted schedule, and a concrete design to help our client plan financially for the Construction Phase.

Outcome

Our client was equipped with a clear, visualized plan for its office transformation—grounded in real data, aligned with leadership goals, and backed by a not-to-exceed budget.

The advisory phase set the stage for a successful implementation that will position our client for a more connected, collaborative workplace culture.
